Promoting investments in nature-based solutions

Invest4Nature is aiming to attract investments in one of the key measures of climate adaptation and risk reduction: nature-based solutions (NBS).

Over the course of 4 years, 15 European partners from research, industry and the public sector join forces to contribute to the creation of a market for nature-based solutions, develop a better understanding of the economic and financial performance of nature-based solutions and promote investments in the measures. This serves as a basis for the development of a market to enable a broad deployment of nature-based solutions.

Climate Alliance will play a role in mapping the stakeholders interested in such a topic. Thanks to its large European network and its offices in Frankfurt (DE) and Brussels (BE), Climate Alliance will scale up the work done in Invest4Nature at a European level and use its Working Group on Adaptation and its policy campaigns to promote the project outputs. In particular, Climate Alliance will create a nature-based solutions investment community that will bring investors into regular contact with suppliers and buyers of NBS, leading to opening of opportunities for the facilitation of collaborative partnerships for NBS.
