Climate fund
Taking responsiblility for the climate
If we are to act locally on climate and take responsibility with a global perspective, we must work to prevent large-scale rainforest destruction.
With the Climate Fund, we offer a concrete opportunity to halt this destruction. With our member the Autonomous Territorial Government of the Wampís (GTANW), we want to use the Climate Fund to support local projects, preserve the indigenous territory, and thereby make a concrete contribution to global climate action.
Whether 10, 100 or 1,000 euros – make your contribution to rainforest protection and global climate action by donating today!
Help safeguard Wampís territory and protect an area that…
- spans more than 13,000 km2 of northern Peru
- is home to over 16,000 people from 85 indigenous communities
- serves as a hotspot for biological diversity
- absorbs some 57 million tonnes of CO2 annually
- provides its surroundings with rain due to water evaporation
- has an exceptionally low rate of deforestation
We look forward to your contribution!
With your donation, you help preserve over 13,000 km2 of rainforest! All contributors will receive a certificate and a (donation) receipt detailing the donation made. We will report regularly and transparently on project progress.
