On 8 May 2025, we honoured 16 municipalities as winners of the 11th Climate Star competition.

A total of 16 winners impressed the international jury members with their inspiring climate action success stories. The winners from Austria, Croatia, Germany, Hungary, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Spain and Switzerland received their awards at the The Climate Star ceremony and gala dinner in Wiener Neustadt (AT). Their examples demonstrate the potential that exists at the local level. The 2025 Climate Star competition and the awards ceremony were organised jointly by Climate Alliance Lower Austria and Climate Alliance Europe with the support of the Province of Lower Austria.
